This week looks to be something of Star Trek week. Yay! Nerdy posts. So with the release of Star Trek Into Darkness this weekend I thought it was time we Star Trek fans and even those who have just ventured into this world should decide who was the best Captain of the USS Enterprise. This is purely who you think did the best and who you liked the most. How you decide is up to you, I will not venture one way or the other but simple put some facts before you and let you decide. And of course with any of my features there will be funny videos for anyone who simply doesn’t all that much care. Enjoy and get voting.

Second feature of the 5 bests is the best alien invasion films. Science fiction is my genre, alien films are a keen interest and alien invasion films are just damn cool! It’s a good mixture of these types of films. I have featured action heavy films to dramatic paranoia and all of which I would recommend to my readers. If anyone has any film they are adamant that I have over looked, please point that film out to me because I am not an expert even though I have watched a lot of these films. Please enjoy the list and comment at the end.
5 Best Samurai Films
Posted: March 22, 2013 in Action, Best of Films, Bulk Review, Drama, ThrillerTags: 13 Assassins, 5 Best, 5 Best Samurai Films, Akira Kurosawa, Edward Zwick, Feudal, Hara-Kiri Death of a Samurai, Japan, Japanese, Ran, Reviews, Ronin, Samurai, Samurai Films, Seven Samurai, Shogun, Takashi Miike, The Last Samurai
This is my new feature of setting out the 5 best of a specific genre of film. The first one is what I consider to the 5 best Samurai films. The samurai culture is a fascinating subject and both good and bad can be taken away from their stories. It’s a good mixture of these types of films. I have featured bloodthirsty battles to dramatic revenge stories and all I would recommend to my readers. If anyone has any film they are adamant that I have over looked, please point that film out to me because I am not an expert and haven’t even seen half the films that have been made on the culture of the Samurai. Please enjoy the list and comment at the end.
The Die Hard Series Reviewed
Posted: February 15, 2013 in Action, Bulk Review, Best of Films, Thriller, Drama, ChristmasTags: A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber, Bonnie Bedelia as Holly Gennaro-McClane, Bruce Willis as John McClane, Die Hard (1988), Die Hard 2 (1990), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), Live Free or Die Hard (2007)
Die Hard is one of the best action films ever made and has spawned a great series of films (sort of). Any who I have decided to review the entire series of Die Hard films to date. Obviously I am doing this to celebrate the release of A Good Day To Die Hard this weekend and am hoping for a Die Hard film somewhere between 1 and 2. “Yippie Ki Yay Motherfucker” Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this before. Do you like Die Hard? Do you agree with my score? Is the first Die Hard a Christmas film? What’s your favourite? And finally are you going to see #5 or have you already seen it?
The Best of Arnold Schwarzenegger
Posted: January 23, 2013 in Action, Best of Films, Bulk Review, Comedy, Drama, Sci-Fi, ThrillerTags: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Best, Commando (1985), Predator (1987), Review, terminator 2 judgment day 1991, The Best of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Top, Total Recall (1990), True Lies (1994)
Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in some of the best actions films I have ever seen, and whilst some of his films have been terrible he does have a lot of good films behind him. The reason I have brought this list out of storage is because this weekend his first film as a leading man ‘The Last Stand’ will be released. I have heard good and bad but I hold hope of a repeat of some kind from these greatest of his work. If you feel you have seen this list before you might have been one of the two followers my blog had back when I first released it, kudos for sticking with me. Whether you like his films as ridiculously funny or fast based action he has done some very impressive things since leaving Austria as a body builder.

This is my list of the best B movies released in 2012 that I had the pleasure of watching. I really enjoyed making my top ten list and now my list of B movies, sadly I didn’t get around to seeing that many B movies that came out in 2012 but I did watch a few. You might want to read my full reviews because they go into more detail. If anyone has any B movies they saw that I didn’t then please tell me if you liked them because I am always looking for more films. Please enjoy and comment below.
Tim’s Worst Films of 2012
Posted: January 4, 2013 in Action, Bulk Review, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Worst of FilmTags: Lockout, Piranha 3DD, Red Lights, The Darkest Hour, The Watch, Worst Films of 2012
This is my list of the worst films released in 2012 that I had the misfortune to watch. I really enjoyed making my top ten list, but now it’s time for my worst of list and I really hate making almost as much as watching the films on it. You might want to read my full reviews because I have heard my reviews of terrible films can be quite funny, my angry nature as I write about them must clearly bring tears to people’s eye. If anyone disagrees then you can just bugger off, otherwise please enjoy. Next post will be my favourite B movies of 2012 so keep an eye out.

This is my list of Top Films released in the year 2012. I have reviewed each one of them and consider them to be all worthy of their position. If you notice any films that you loved and that are not on the list then this could mean one of two things, either I disagree or I simply didn’t see it (there’s a list at the bottom). I will also be releasing my worst films of the year and what I thought were the best B movies of 2012 (Love me some B movies).
Indiana Jones Trilogy Review
Posted: November 30, 2012 in Action, Best of Films, Bulk Review, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Sci-FiTags: Action & Adventure, drama, Frank Marshall, George Lucas, Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones Trilogy Review, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Steven Spielberg, Thriller
This trilogy review was picked by my followers and I would like to thank you for picking a good set of films yet again. Not too surprising that this trilogy won and let’s face it who doesn’t love Indiana Jones, it was easily one of the best trilogies ever made (TRILOGY!). I am not including that film that shall not be named, a clue though it had a stuttering fool and aliens. All three of these films are filed with fun and adventure and I am happy to be reviewing them. “Don’t look, Marion! Keep your eyes SHUT!” This was clearly referring to the newest installment I will also be having another poll to decide what Christmas films I should review for you guessed it Christmas. Again thanks for the votes.
The Evil Dead Trilogy Review
Posted: October 30, 2012 in Action, Best of Films, Bulk Review, Comedy, Fantasy, Horror, Sci-Fi, ThrillerTags: Action, Adventure, Army of Darkness (1993), Ash, Bruce Campbell, Comedy, Evil Dead 2 (1987), Fantasy, Horror, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, reel tape recorder, Sam Raimi, Science Fiction, Star Wars (Original), The Evil Dead (1981), The Evil Dead Trilogy Review, The Matrix
This trilogy review is the winner of the Halloween trilogy review poll that was posted on the ‘Back To The Future’ review. Not too surprising that this trilogy won as it is a favourite of mine from the first film which brought real scares and even laughs on purpose in one film to ‘Army of Darkness’ which just went full on slapstick comedy horror and will still make me laugh. All three of these films where directed and written by Sam Raimi, and I view them as some of his best films if not the best. I think these films are timeless and hope you all do too because it would be a shame if these films ever lost an audience. On a plus side I got over 32 votes which were better than the 20 from the poll before, I still want MORE! So don’t forget to vote at the end.
