It’s one of my amazing special posts, yay! (Nobody really cares, just look at the pretty pictures). Friday I will be posting a ‘Best of Christopher Nolan’ because of the Dark Knight Rises release.

Ok so we are now into the 7th month of the year so I thought I would put my favourite films of the year into monthly winners for the first half of 2012. Obviously part 2 won’t be coming out until January next year so keep an eye out for that when I will also reveal my winner of the year in genre categories (nobody really cares, just look at the pretty posters). Each winner is only put in a mini review but has been linked to the full reviews if you want to read more.

It has a few flaws, but for a first installment of the rebooted Spiderman franchise it is better than any of the original films, especially Spiderman 3! The characters especially where far better this time around with Andrew showing Toby how to play Peter Parker. I will be looking forward to the next films in this great new Spiderman reboot. But I would love to see flaws I found fixed, they are so small though that a sequel would be able to see and fix them.

This is my top ten horror list I hope you enjoy. Bring it on horror films! You don’t scare me, you think because I wet myself in the cinema or nearly ripped the seat arms off means I am scared, well it doesn’t. Just because after watching Event Horizon at the age of 7 I had to go to therapy doesn’t mean you scared me horror films. Oh My God what the hell is that, arghghhhh it’s got me! Where’s my shot gun damn it! OH GOD NOT MY BRAIN…

Now just to state that originally I had a list of 38 comedy films and then had to cut it down to just 10 films so I know people will be asking why their favourite film isn’t on here and believe me it was hard to cut 28 of my favourite comedy films off the list, but the films on the list are the best of the best and deserve your laughs. Part 2 will be released on Wednesday.

The gang are back and much more mature haha nah if anything they haven’t learned anything which is fine by me because it brings us a great end to the franchise. Otherwise it’s still just a fun watch. In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago return to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship. Tim’s Film Reviews Recommended.

Part 2 is out and all people who were involved in making these awful films should be rounded up and put in a fenced enclosure for the death games in which all that paid to watch their films get to hunt them like deer. From the writers, directors and actors they will all be hunted in the death games. Weapon of choose the mace and I am talking medieval mace.

21 Jump Street in my first opinion was going to nothing but another failed comedy attempt, but turned out to be extremely funny and very well put together for a new take on an 80′s TV show. In the action-comedy 21 Jump Street, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready to leave their adolescent problems behind. Joining the police force and the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover in a local high school. As they trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, Schmidt and Jenko risk their lives to investigate a violent and dangerous drug ring. Tim’s Film Reviews Recommended.

Chronicle has surprised me and has shockingly become one of my favorite sci-fi films of all time, now that’s an impressive feat considering the last movie I did that with was Transformers.Three high school students make an incredible discovery, leading to their developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.
