21 Jump Street (2012) Review
21 Jump Street in my first opinion was going to nothing but another failed comedy attempt, but turned out to be extremely funny and very well put together for a new take on an 80’s TV show. In the action-comedy 21 Jump Street, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready to leave their adolescent problems behind. Joining the police force and the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover in a local high school. As they trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, Schmidt and Jenko risk their lives to investigate a violent and dangerous drug ring. Tim’s Film Reviews Recommended.
Channing Tatum’s performance was very well acted to betray the obvious fact that he is in his late 30’s pretending to be a high school student, in fact one of my favorite lines is between him and a student about his age and replying “i don’t look really old, you look really young, what are you 7”. one of many scenes that really made me laugh.
