Europa Report (Trailer #1) Review
I don’t usually review trailers for straight to DVD films but this looked interesting and somebody asked me to review it, can’t remember who so sorry about that but here my review. Right from the get go I like the feel, it’s very realistic and grounded with what looks like a slightly futuristic look at space exploration. The idea of physically looking for signs of extra-terrestrial life intrigues me and from what I see they find something, is it good? Nope because that would be a boring film and this looks thrilling. The film has a surprisingly big name Sharto Copley! The guy can’t get enough of aliens and sci fi so he joins the smaller films as well. Love this comment on the trailer “Those damn prawns won’t leave Wikus alone!” kevinbrueck.

My Score: B
Release date: 27th June 2013
Plot:
Six astronauts go to Jupiter’s fourth moon, Europa, to try to find extraterrestrial life.

Top 4 Scenes
4. Astronauts POV
Saw something similar in the Gravity Trailer but this time we see it from the terrifying view of the astronaut himself.
–
3. Exorcism in Space
Dude doesn’t look happy and me thinks its alien possession. PROBBING!!!
–
2. People Falling and crashing and Hurting
No idea what’s wrong with the ship but all hells breaking loose and people are falling from the ceiling or the floor it’s hard to tell in space.

1. Don’t Turn Off The Lights!
Seriously?! Turn off the lights. Has this woman never seen any horror film ever! Honestly I hope she dies, stupidity equals dead in horror. Turn off the lights honestly.

New Poster
Well that’s my views. Now what do you think about this newest trailer?

It actually isn’t straight to DVD, it is “on demand” via iTunes. Okay… pretty much the same thing. But it will have a theatrical release that follows. Of course the number of theaters will most likely depend on how well it does via on demand.

Can’t wait for this film, looks so good. I didn’t know it was going straight to DVD, which is a shame, I bet it would have done well in the cinema.

Glad you like the trailer, not sure about the box office potential but at least we can rent it straight away and you don’t have to struggle to get to a cinema 😀

Wow. I like this trailer. Yes, there are similarities with Gravity, but it seems to be a bit more like what Apollo 18 was hoping to be.
i like it. And LOL at the “turn off the lights” commentary!

Copley does no wrong. I love me some low-budget sci-fi.

Hmmm, that does look interesting. Nothing like a good exorcism in outer space.
