We’re the Millers (Trailer #1) Review
Dear lord a comedy film that actually made me laugh in the trailer, what is happening?! It looks funny, it’s got a funny cast, the concept has capacity to have a lot of funny moments so I am very hopeful this could hysterical. The idea of a fake family consisting of a drug dealer, a striper, some kid and a street urchin who then go to Mexico to smuggle drugs is so out there that it might actually work, so if I am proven correct I am totally calling it! Other things you’ll notice in the trailer is a lot of all-star casting going on and a pretty good soundtrack and oh yeah Ron F*cking Swanson! I don’t care if he was an extra because if Nick Offerman is in a film I am there. There is also a red band trailer here but I find for comedies they can be too much of a spoiler. Anyway enjoy the review.
My Score: B+
Release date: 9th August 2013
David Burke (Sudeikis) is a small-time pot dealer whose clientele includes chefs and soccer moms, but no kids—after all, he has his scruples. So what could go wrong? Plenty. Preferring to keep a low profile for obvious reasons, he learns the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished when he tries to help out some local teens and winds up getting jumped by a trio of gutter punks. Stealing his stash and his cash, they leave him in major debt to his supplier, Brad (Ed Helms). In order to wipe the slate clean—and maintain a clean bill of health—David must now become a big-time drug smuggler by bringing Brad’s latest shipment in from Mexico. Twisting the arms of his neighbors, cynical stripper Rose (Aniston) and wannabe customer Kenny (Will Poulter), and the tatted-and-pierced streetwise teen Casey (Emma Roberts), he devises a foolproof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a huge, shiny RV later, the “Millers” are headed south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that is sure to end with a bang.
Top 8 Scenes
8. A Smidge of Pot
I can easily picture a funny scene at a border patrol where they search the campervan and just miss the huge quantity of cannabis hidden in the draws and under the beds. Plus I think that’s a penis drawn on the packs.
7. The Worst Tarantula Attack
Oh snap! Not there! The scene wouldn’t be included but in the Red Band trailer it’s very funny and Jason Sudeikis’s reaction is priceless.
6. I Make a Lot of Money
I just love the idea of the nard dog being a drug dealer. But this scene in general is pretty funny what with super villain aquarium with killer whales eating sharks just throw a little what?! Moment in there.
5. It’s a Big Black Skateboard
Haha that’s the worse drawing of a skateboard ever! Although sets up a funny scene never less. A big black skateboard haha.
4. A Swinging Swanson
Did he put his finger in his ear? Nick Offerman you kinky bastard. I love the dead pan acting of Nick and hope he does well in this film and another he was recently in called Kings of Summer which I will be reviewing shortly.
3. Haven’t Got A Problem With This
NICE! Not bad Anderson, not bad at all. I obviously don’t have a problem with a little strip tease in my comedies and it can be hysterical.
2. Bane At Border Patrol
*Bane voice* I haven’t got any drugs…well I mean there is this stuff called VENOM which I use as a pain relief, I mean granted it was a military experiment which gives me super human strength but I mainly use it for my glaucoma.
1. Knowing the Lyrics
That kid singing the words to Waterfall just made me laugh so much, and I am just not sure why. I just want to watch that scene over and over.
Well that’s my views. Now what do you think about this newest trailer?
